From December 31, 2020, there will be new rules in Europe for the operation and flying of unmanned aircraft – also known as “drones”. Depending on the operational risk, different skills and knowledge must be proven by the remote pilots.
Most remote pilots will have to pass at least the A1-A3 category online theory course and an online examination. We developed the content of these two components in cooperation with European authorities and made them available to both the German Luftfahrt Bundesamt and the Austrian Austro Control. The software platform is developed and provided by our cooperation partner LPLUS.
